The town of Alice Springs was established in 1872 and covers an area of 148km2. This vibrant town is always growing and people who wish to locate here will be able to take their pick from houses, apartments and bungalows of all shapes and sizes. Adelaide House once served as the first hospital in Alice Springs and now serves as an interesting and informative museum, while the Araluen Centre for Arts and Entertainment features a large 500-seat theatre.
